NetXpert XG2 10G Network Tester

The NetXpert XG2 can certify copper or fiber networks to 10G speeds using advanced Bit Error Rate Testing (BERT), pushing real data packets over the cable and measuring the results. This is real world testing, which proves the capabilities of new networks and helps to identify those older cable runs that can operate at higher speeds. The XG2 is also equipped with a full suite of active network tests and tools to speed network installs, including PoE testing and network testing over WiFi. The NetXpert XG2 is designed to be the one device that can perform all the tests you need during an install, simplifying and speeding up the process.

Demand for data bandwidth increases about 30% per year, and more systems are changing to CAT6A to keep up. The NetXpert XG2 was designed to provide a powerful, complete testing solution for those CAT6A installs. Further, some – but not all – CAT6 and even CAT5e cable runs can handle the higher speed, but testing is needed to identify which ones. The XG2 makes it easy to discover those legacy cable runs that can support higher speeds and may not need to be replaced.

The NetXpert XG2 uses advanced Bit Error Rate Testing (BERT) to certify copper or fiber cables to 10G speeds. In addition, the XG2 includes a full array of network tests that can be run over copper, fiber, or wi-fi, as well as PoE testing and even tone generation for cable tracing. It is truly a do-it-all tester for the network cable installer that also produces full, easily-customized reports that can be delivered to the customer, proving the system can operate at the speed specified.
